CDAA APPOINTS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

February 2010

The Canadian Dental Assistants Association (CDAA) has appointed Mr. Robert Corbeil as our new Executive Director.


According to the CDAA President, Elaine McKay, the Board of Directors are pleased to have someone with Robert's credentials as the Executive Director of CDAA: "We are confident Robert will foster growth in the profession of Dental Assisting from coast to coast".


Mr. Corbeil has a Masters degree in project management from the UQAM and a Bachelors degree in Marketing from the HEC Montreal.


"Robert's diversified experience will be a welcomed asset to CDAA. Robert has been working with organizations such as the National Alliance of Respiratory Regulatory Bodies, Theatre Action, World Vision, CUSO, the Menard Foundation and Ratiopharm. His extensive experience as Executive Director and project manager for National and International organizations has lead him to attain knowledge in fundraising, direct marketing, finance, special events, planning and coordination, customer retention, sponsorship, coaching and staff development, performance management, strategic planning, leadership, relationship building, political and government awareness", the President concluded.

Attention Health Professionals: H1N1 flu (Swine Flu)


The Public Health Agency of Canada has released a report concerning the monitoring of the vaccine against the influenza (H1N1) and the secondary side effects after immunization. According to The Public Health Agency of Canada, the existing monitoring system and these additional initiatives will help to supervise the side effects and help to detect the alarming signs which are related to the vaccine.
