Rogue ‘bedroom dentist’ ordered to pay $65,000 in legal, investigation costs

Rogue dentist David Wu was ordered Friday to pay more than $65,000 in legal costs and the costs of an investigation of him by the College of Dental Surgeons of B.C. The college had asked B.C. Supreme Court Associate Chief Justice Austin Cullen to impose an order that Wu to pay out more than $100,000. But the judge noted that the college had only been successful in finding Wu guilty of civil contempt of court, rather than the more serious criminal contempt of court.
