What is the difference between natal and neonatal teeth?

Natal teeth are present at birth, whereas neonatal teeth emerge through the gingiva during the first month of life. There is a large range in the reported prevalence of natal teeth. One study used two methods of determining prevalence: method 1 prevalence was 1 in 3667 births and method 2 prevalence was 1 in 716 births.
