New Technology to detect oral cancer

More than 40,000 people in the United States and 640,000 world-wide are expected to be diagnosed with oral cancer this year. One person in America dies every hour from this disfiguring, deadly disease.

Two-thirds of the oral cancers diagnosed are found when they are already late-stage, with only 30 percent of those patients surviving five years. Yet, for patients whose cancers are detected early, that five-year survival rate soars to 80-90 percent. <click here to read the full article>
